Watts Grove – Tower Hamlets
Tower Hamlets London Borough Council is the local authority for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in Greater London. It is in the eastern part of London and covers much of the traditional East End and the Docklands.
Macegreen were appointed as development managers from inception through feasibility and delivery of this new housing scheme, leading on technical advice, delivery models and funding.
Project details
Macegreen were appointed to deliver 2 seven storey blocks and 2 five storey blocks of flats with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom units with wheelchair units to the ground floor. There are also 13 three-bedroom houses within the scheme, together with a landscaped area that provides a flexible space for community use.
The Watts Grove new housing project exceeded London Borough of Tower Hamlets’ renewables target of 40% above Building Regulations Requirements. The scheme has also achieved and has been accredited to the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
