Blackwall Reach, Tower Hamlets

Tower Hamlets London Borough Council is the local authority for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in Greater London. It is in the eastern part of London and covers much of the traditional East End and the Docklands.

Following on from the successful negotiations for East Thames Group Consortium on regeneration of the Tower Hamlets Ocean Estate, Tower Hamlets subsequently sought Macegreen's guidance on their next and contentious major regeneration scheme - Blackwall Reach including Robin Hood Gardens. Macegreen led the team managing the bid process and led the Master planning team.

Project details

Following selection of the successful bidder Macegreen alongside Berwins negotiated the development agreement to close. Macegreen also then led the Master planning team and negotiations with GLA, and LTGDC through to a successful Outline Planning Consent. Macegreen have been retained as the Borough’s technical monitor and development advisor on the 15 year scheme.
