New Visitor Centre for Forestry Commission
RWE npower renewables was the renewables division of RWE Innogy. It leads the UK wind power market and they are also leaders in hydroelectric generation. Macegreen were appointed as technical advisers and ‘in house’ project managers on the design and construction of a new visitor centre on Forestry Commission land in the north east.
Project details
The construction of the facility was part of a development agreement for a new on-shore windfarm development. The scheme also included mountain biking trails, café, mountain bike hire, landscaping and improving other facilities in this forestry site. The new visitor centre construction is currently on hold.
